CACI awarded $139 million to continue support of the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Special Communications Requirement Division
BOWIE, Md.—November 17, 2011— The MIL Corporation (MIL) C4S Division is set to continue its support for its partner and prime contractor CACI International Inc. (CACI) after its $139 million re-compete win with U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s (NAWCAD) Special Communications Requirement (SCR) Division in Southern Maryland. The contract is for a one base year and four option year delivery order type contract.
MIL’s partnership with CACI will allow the MIL C4S Division to continue its work on C4 Systems (Communications, Command, Control, and Computers), which supports the US Central Command, US Special Operations Command and the National Capitol Police Requirements.
The contract requires rapid design, fabrication and fielding of C4ISR systems and capability enhancements via technologically derived solutions. The resulting systems will be employed within user locations or platforms including shipboard, aircraft/airborne, weapon systems, on small crafts, boats, shelters or vehicles.
MIL will help to:
- Design, integrate and test mobile communications systems for the division, which supplies deployable C4ISR systems to the Departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security and other federal bodies.
- Manufacture and integrate a variety of C4ISR systems into vehicles, and battlefield command posts.
- Provide life cycle support for these systems, retrofit them with new technology and deliver onsite training.
“This is an important win and partnership for the MIL C4S Division,” said Larry Wise, MIL C4S Division vice president. “Continuing this relationship with CACI and the NAVAIR customer will allow us to stay involved and abreast of the technological advances in the C4 arena by working on complex engineering and integration solutions involving the most advanced electronic systems on the market today. Further, this subcontract vehicle will allow us to solidify our presence in this C4 market and keep our focus on our core services goal that recognizes and fosters our belief that – ‘our customer’s mission is our mission’. ”
