Wang to Focus on Expansion of Cyber Security Efforts
BOWIE, Md.—Feb. 10, 2016— The MIL Corporation (MIL), a mid-sized government contractor, is pleased to announce the addition of Ken Wang to its Corporate Business Development (CBD) team. His expertise in cyberspace, electronic warfare, space, and research and development will aid MIL in developing strategies to mitigate federal cyber threats.
Wang holds over 25 years’ experience in national security endeavors. Under the CBD team, he will focus on expanding cyber services, specifically for MIL’s Department of Navy, Naval Air Systems Command client. This work includes the support of penetration testing efforts under MIL’s Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) contract in Lexington Park, Md.
“Ken’s analysis and assessment experience related to war-gaming is extremely impressive, not to mention his impeccable leadership experience with the Navy,” said MIL Executive Vice President Marisa Daley, “His addition to lead our cyber team is an excellent step in our security innovations to protect the federal government from cyber threats.”
Wang will work directly with MIL’s Cyber Lab in Lexington Park, Md., which develops methodologies for detection, response, and recovery from cyber-attacks on Naval customer’s Real-Time Operating Systems. This work directly supports the protection of naval weapon systems and reaches beyond traditional network security methods and technologies, which typically include Hot Base Security Systems.
Wang recently retired from the Department of Navy, Navy Cyber Warfare Development Group (NCWDG) where he served as the cyber subject matter expert on the Command Action Group. Throughout his career he became adept in many areas, including: intelligence; cryptology; Information Operations; Maritime Operations; Special Operations; counter-terrorism; and special programs. Wang worked as a special duty officer in information warfare and is qualified in Information Dominance Warfare, as well as being certified in Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Program Management, Level 3.
Wang holds a B.S. in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Florida and a M.S. in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Ca.
