MIL Appraised at CMMI Level 3 for Services
Corporate business practices earn organization CMMI appraisal for its human resources services
Bowie, Md.—Nov. 20, 2024— The MIL Corporation (MIL) today announced that it has been appraised at Maturity Level 3 of ISACA’s Capability Maturity Model Integration for Services (CMMI-SVC), specifically for its business processes in human resources. The appraisal was performed by ProcessWorks Inc.
CMMI is a proven, outcome-based performance model and the globally accepted standard for improving capability, optimizing business performance, and aligning operations with business goals.
Achieving Maturity Level 3 for Services indicates that MIL’s business processes operate at a “defined” level, with standards, procedures, tools, and methods that are well characterized and understood. At this level, MIL’s processes are standardized and continuously improved over time, reinforcing the company’s commitment to operational excellence.
“This achievement of CMMI Level 3 for Services underscores MIL’s dedication to delivering reliable and efficient human resources solutions,” said John Degni, Executive Vice President and MIL’s CMMI sponsor. “We’re proud of this appraisal, which showcases our focus on well-defined, repeatable processes that enhance service quality and provide value to our clients.”
MIL provides cyber, engineering, financial, and information technology services to the federal government. Achieving the CMMI Level 3 for Services appraisal recognizes the maturity and effectiveness of MIL’s corporate human resources processes for over 800 employees.
“Organizations worldwide are harnessing CMMI to elevate their business performance to new heights, creating a sustainable competitive advantage in the process,” said Ron Lear, VP of Frameworks and Models at ISACA. “We commend MIL on achieving this CMMI appraisal level and demonstrating their ability as a high-performing organization.”
In addition to the CMMI-SVC appraisal, MIL previously received a CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV) Level 3 appraisal for its system development work. These dual designations highlight MIL’s commitment to excellence in both development and business operations, reinforcing the company’s ability to continuously improve and deliver high-quality, efficient solutions.
