BOWIE, Md.—June 3, 2013—The MIL Corporation today announced an organizational restructuring that forms new corporate business sectors aimed at providing its customers with expert and professional support.
Currently, The MIL Corporation is equally divided between defense and non-defense federal customers, with a revenue base nearing the $100M annual mark. Anticipating even further growth, the company’s leadership recognized the need to realign its service areas to address the evolving requirements of its customer base and 550+ professional staff.
“Our teams will continue to provide the professional services, information technology, engineering, and technical services that The MIL Corporation has successfully provided to our federal clients over the past 30 years,” said Ed Greer, COO.
The MIL Corporation’s new corporate organization now features six sectors that match its corporate core competencies: financial and administrative systems, global financial services, information technology, C4 integrated systems, engineering and technical services, and cybersecurity.
The Financial and Administrative Systems Sector represents a powerful alignment of several previously independent teams. Focused primarily on providing the federal government with expert and cost-effective financial management services, the Financial and Administrative Systems Sector offers its customers accounting, procurement, health-IT, travel, and other critical administrative services such as helpdesk, training, and testing.
The Global Financial Services Sector offers financial and IT support to a global client base. With expertise in financial software development, services, and systems support, as well as quality management programs, The MIL Corporation’s dynamic staff includes certified professionals that provide support across all four areas working in concert to deliver seamless oversight and support to clients at home and abroad.
The Information Technology Services Sector represents the next step in providing a full spectrum of IT lifecycle services to large domestic and globally based federal organizations. This sector encompasses specific practice areas aligned to current corporate capabilities in systems administration, service desk solutions, cloud computing, and applications development.
The Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Integrated Systems Sector provides project management, engineering, production, integration, fielding, and technical management support services for a wide range of C4 communications-electronic systems, subsystems, and equipment. This sector integrates C4 technology into systems used by all services of the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, Joint Staff and Combatant Commanders, as well as other federal, state, and local agencies here and abroad.
The Engineering and Technical Services Sector will continue to deliver full spectrum systems engineering services that are compliant with industry best practices. The MIL Corporation works collaboratively with both government and contractor personnel to engineer systems lifecycle solutions. Spanning research, design, test & evaluation, logistics, and program office support, these solutions leverage the internal technological resources that The MIL Corporation has amassed over three decades supporting this service area.
The MIL Corporation’s new Cybersecurity Sector was recently formed to develop, test, certify, and deploy the technologies and methodologies its customers need to protect their critical data and infrastructure. Using the company’s corporate experience in applying information assurance best practices as a springboard, The MIL Corporation’s Cybersecurity Sector is focused on reducing risks, threats, and vulnerabilities in cyberspace by employing new cyber-defense operating concepts to protect networks and systems against intrusions and malicious activity.
While The MIL Corporation continues to provide the quality of service its customers have come to expect, the new organization consolidates and strengthens the company’s subject matter expertise. This keen focus on the future should also provide The MIL Corporation with new marketing and business development opportunities.
