MIL President Marisa Daley to Chair 2025 Ride to End ALZ Nation’s Capital
Bowie, MD – April 10, 2025 – The MIL Corporation (MIL) is proud to announce that our President, Marisa Daley, will serve as the Executive Leadership Chair for the 2025 Alzheimer’s Association Ride to End ALZ® Nation’s Capital, taking place on Saturday, May 3, in Leesburg, VA. This appointment reflects MIL’s ongoing dedication to giving back to the communities in which employees live and work through its corporate philanthropy initiative, MIL CARES (Celebrates, Acknowledges, Responds, Energizes, and Strengthens)
The Ride to End ALZ is a premier cycling event designed to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s and dementia research. Since its inception in 2022, the Nation’s Capital Ride has raised over $1.3 million, with a goal of $750,000 for the 2025 event. One hundred percent of the funds raised go directly toward advancing research to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
Daley, an avid cyclist, is eager to contribute her expertise and networks to broaden the reach and impact of this event.
“I accepted the generous invitation to chair the 2025 Ride to End ALZ Nation’s Capital because this is a worthy cause,” said Daley. “There is a need to expand awareness of the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association and this event, and I can help accomplish that. As an avid cyclist, I know my professional and athletic networks can bring new faces and connections to expand the success of this ride in its fourth year! Additionally, through MIL CARES, we are always looking for ways to give back and make a difference, and this event is an excellent opportunity to further our commitment to community engagement and meaningful causes.”
MIL CARES serves as MIL’s commitment to community service and corporate social responsibility. Through initiatives such as food drives, Toys for Tots, disaster relief collections, Habitat for Humanity volunteering, and veteran support efforts, MIL CARES embodies our dedication to making a meaningful impact. Daley’s leadership role in the Ride to End ALZ aligns perfectly with this mission, reinforcing our focus on health, wellness, and community engagement.
“As a company that prioritizes both innovation and community service, we are incredibly proud of Marisa’s leadership in this important initiative,” said Maurice I. Long Jr., MIL CEO. “The Ride to End ALZ represents an opportunity for our employees, partners, and broader network to rally together in support of groundbreaking Alzheimer’s research. Through MIL CARES, we will continue to encourage active participation in causes that strengthen our communities.”
