MIL to provide financial management and engineering services in addition to current business operation support
BOWIE, Md.—Nov. 16, 2015— The MIL Corporation (MIL), a mid-sized government contractor, is pleased to announce that it will expand its role within its General Services Administration (GSA) Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) contract due to a catalog conversion to the Professional Services Schedule (PSS). This conversion announcement was made official on Oct. 1, 2015. Currently, MIL provides consulting and facilitation services, as well as program integration and management services via its GSA Schedule contracts.
Under the new GSA PSS, MIL will add financial management services, which includes accounting and budgeting support, as well as auditing and financial training. Additionally, avenues will be opened for MIL to broaden further into engineering services on the GSA schedule.
The GSA MOBIS to PSS consolidation was instituted to increase efficiency and ease the addition of services for contractors. Further, it will offer more of a one-stop-shopping solution for federal, state, and quasi-federal/state catalog customers.
Under the GSA MOBIS – PSS conversion, the following will now be located under one umbrella:
• Professional Engineering Services (PES)
• Financial and Business Solutions (FABS)
• Advertising & Integrated Marketing Solutions (AIMS)
• Logistics Worldwide (LOGWORLD),
• Environmental Services
• Language Services
“This GSA schedule conversion is a great opportunity for MIL to grow our relationship and expertise within GSA,” said MIL President and Chief Executive Officer Maurice I. Long, Jr. “This will allow us to expand our roles and presence with new and current federal and state customers. It’s an exciting opportunity and I look forward to building future work.”
MIL has held at least one GSA contract since 1997 and looks forward to expanding the current list of special item numbers (SINs) available to its customers. MIL recently celebrated 35 years in business, 18 of which have included work with GSA. As a whole, the organization operates under six service sectors: Financial and Administrative Systems; Global Financial Services; Information Technology Services; Engineering and Technical Services; C4 Integrated Systems; and Cyber Services.
