The MIL Corporation (MIL) is pleased to announce Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) Engineer Matthew Myers, has been awarded the prestigious National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Tester of the Year Award in the U.S. Navy Contractor category. Matthew proudly received this honor at the NDIA 27th Annual Systems and Mission Engineering Conference, held October 28-31, 2024, in Norfolk, VA. The NDIA is an educational 501(c)3 nonprofit that advocates for the defense industrial base, to promote policies, practices, products, and technology for warfighters, and to build a collaborative community in support of defense and national security.
Nominated by the AIR Test and Evaluation Squadron TWO ZERO (VX-20) for his outstanding dedication and technical expertise as a vital member of the MQ-4C Triton Integrated Test Team, Matthew has been instrumental in advancing Navy Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. His efforts have led to the successful execution of 180 hours of flight testing, extensive ground testing, and the establishment of the first operational deployment of the MQ-4C Triton aircraft, a high-altitude uncrewed aerial vehicle developed to provide maritime intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and targeting. Matthew’s leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence have significantly contributed to the program’s success.
A subject matter expert for his area of mission systems, Matthew states: “The best aspect about my job is the amount of autonomy and discretion I have in my line of work. Maritime Patrol/Fleet Reconnaissance is a great field to work in for cleared engineering professionals. I feel respected by my peers.” Prior to joining MIL, Matthew served as a Cryptologic Technician in the Navy.
